Scaffolding for Transcendence: The Future of Education in an AI Economy

AI is replacing junior positions, making it more difficult for young people to start their careers and jeopardising the learning pipeline between universities and companies. How will we achieve mastery in the future, and where will companies find their leaders if daily practice is no longer necessary?

The keynote answers this question from the perspective of "strategic creativity". Beyond repetition and renewal, which AI is better at, human strength lies in transcendence. This requires new learning structures: instead of simply absorbing information, we need the art of asking questions, trying things out and developing the power of judgement. We present "Scaffolds for Transcendence" for universities and companies. The aim is to empower the next generation of senior creatives to take on responsibility in cultural developments, entrepreneurial initiatives, political projects and the reflective use of AI.
