Peter Hoffmann -

Peter Hoffmann has been Head of YouTube Social Sales at Google since 2026 and is responsible for collaboration between companies, agencies and YouTube creators in the DACH region. He has been with Google since 2013, where he looked after large agency groups for many years. Previously, he worked at Axel Springer, OMD, Carat and Publicis, among others. With over 25 years of experience in the agency and media industry, he has also been a member of the Effie main jury since 2023.

Creators have long been more than just content producers. They build brands, develop business models, shape communities and influence social discourse. As independent entrepreneurs, they operate at the interface between the creative industries, the platform economy and the formation of public opinion.

The panel will shed light on what entrepreneurship in the creator economy means today and what democratic responsibility goes hand in hand with it. The focus will be on questions of sustainable business models as well as trust, participation and community building: What skills do creators need to be economically successful and socially effective? How are credible personal brands and resilient communities created? What role do platform logics, algorithms and monetisation models play for visibility, discourse quality and a democratic public sphere?
