Marion Mair studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, specializing in controlling, advertising and market research. She started her career at Unilever, where she learnt all elements of the brand management marketing mix, most recently as Group Product Manager for Personal Products. This was followed by positions as a customer consultant at Lintas for brands such as Coke Light, Magnum and Club Ö3, the event division of the Austrian radio station Ö3. After working on independent projects for the IT sector, she has been Marketing Director of the cultural brand Deutsche Oper Berlin since 2001.

Curating AI: Design & Responsibility in Cultural Institutions

Artificial intelligence is changing creative processes quickly and noticeably. But how can it be used sensibly and responsibly in cultural organisations?

This panel brings two concrete practical examples from Berlin to the stage. The AI-supported campaign development for the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the redesign of the visitor app for the Museum Barberini. We will show how AI expands creative diversity and allows teams to work confidently with technology. And how it simultaneously streamlines processes, relieves resources and consistently aligns offerings with users.

The focus is on tools, design processes and learning, as well as ethical issues and the role of AI in the interaction between cultural institutions and agencies. A realistic, encouraging look at a creative economy that embeds technology critically and consciously places human creativity at the centre.
