Marc is an innovation and program manager at the Cross Innovation Hub of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft. There, he supports medium-sized and large companies – including tesa, Hermes and hvv – through key phases of the innovation process and works with them to develop marketable concepts, prototypes and new business approaches. His focus is on open innovation: through the targeted integration of external creative expertise, he creates a framework that favours disruptive innovation projects in particular.

In addition to designing and moderating innovation workshops and labs lasting several months, he also organises the "Cross Innovation Day" innovation congress and strategically develops new innovation formats. In the thesis for his Master's degree in Global Technology Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship, he analysed the influence of artificial intelligence on the early phase of the innovation process.

Disruptive Product Innovations: Shaping Tomorrow with Design Futuring

How does a future trend become a concrete innovation? In this 75-minute masterclass organised by the Cross Innovation Hub, participants are given an understandable, practical introduction to design futuring. After brief insights into relevant trends, they use the "Futures Wheel" to analyse possible effects on markets and society. Building on this, they use tried-and-tested creative methods to develop specific, disruptive product ideas - and learn how even vague but decisive trends can be systematically translated into new business opportunities.

The masterclass is primarily aimed at entrepreneurs from business and the creative industries who want to make strategic use of trends.
