Kerstin Groh is an entrepreneur and strategist for creative economies and infrastructures. She is co-founder of worksheer, a platform for the creative industries that uses crypto as a payment channel to enable fair market access and reliable remuneration for creatives. Based on her artistic career and her work between Germany and Kosovo, she focuses on the economic and technical requirements for internationally sustainable creative work. She sees technology, the market and organisation as tools for making creative work sustainable in the long term, even beyond traditional funding dependencies.

Beyond Traditional Payments: Blockchain Markets for Creatives Using the Example of worksheer

What questions need to be answered to make creative markets fair, international and sustainable in the long term? The article shows how crypto can be used as a payment method and what role blockchain-based infrastructures play for new payment and market models in the creative industries. The focus is on approaches that open up real access to global markets for creatives beyond traditional payment infrastructures - without creating new dependencies. The example of worksheer makes opportunities, risks and responsibilities tangible. From this, design principles are derived that have an impact beyond the individual case, so that fair payment becomes structurally anchored instead of remaining an exception.
