Dr Nikolas Hill

Dr Nikolas Hill is a lawyer and managing partner of von Beust & Coll. Beratungsgesellschaft. From 2004 to 2005, he was a consultant to the Deputy Director-General of NDR. From 2006 until his appointment as State Councillor (State Secretary), he was Head of the Planning Staff in the Hamburg Senate Chancellery as Senate Director. From 2009 to 2017, Hill was a member of the Hamburg Senate in the cabinets of mayors Ole von Beust to Olaf Scholz, initially as State Councillor for the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Media and later for the Ministry of Justice and Equality.

During this time, he was chairman or member of supervisory bodies in the areas of economic development, urban development, media and culture, such as the ZDF Television Council, Deutschlandradio Radio Council, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe and Hamburg Public Bookshops. He is also involved on a voluntary basis as a member of the advisory board of impct.help and as chairman of the board of trustees of the Regenbogenstiftung Hamburg.
