Christopher Weiß is an architect, project developer and co-founder of the company Glockenweiß, which he founded with Andrea van der Bel in 2013. After many years of working as traditional architects, they now dedicate themselves to their own projects as builders and project developers. Glockenweiß combines the economic thinking of a project developer with the creativity of many years of work as architects. The aim is to develop properties whose financial returns also have added value for the urban community.

In addition to his work as a project developer, he is the founder of the co-working brand BEYDES and the media company STRÖM. As co-founder of the TRANSITRÄUME initiative, he is committed to networking property owners, art, culture and neighbourhoods in Berlin and Brandenburg for the temporary use of real estate.

Urban Development: How Properties with Creative Uses Can Have an Urban Impact

How can property be transformed from a built container into a strategic lever for vibrant urban development? This panel shows how cooperation between property players and the creative industries creates places that combine social and economic impact. Based on best practices such as the CampusVäre creative area, the Kreativ Quartier Potsdam and the Hamburg creative spaces Seilerstraße and FABRIC, the speakers will discuss how creative uses open up open spaces, activate neighbourhoods and make cities fit for the future - and which business models are sustainable in the long term.
