This panel examines how approaches from the creative industries, design and systemic thinking can be more closely integrated into political decision-making processes. This also raises the question of how administration can become not only more efficient, but also more experimental, collaborative and innovative.

The discussion brings together perspectives from creative practice, science and public administration and asks what happens when creative methods are not only supplemented but become the starting point for political decision-making processes – and where this is or could be negotiated.

Creative Bureaucracy: How Creative Administrations Create New Solutions Worldwide

How does bureaucracy become an engine for innovation? In this session, international best practices will show how administrations around the world are rethinking and radically developing structures, processes and collaboration.

The Creative Bureaucracy Festival shows how it works: From experimental governance models and new forms of citizen participation to creative approaches in organization and administrative culture. The world's largest festival for administrative innovation has become the annual meeting place for a growing global movement that shows how innovation in the public sector can improve citizen services and ultimately strengthen democracy.

This impulse is part of "Creative Connections: How International Networks Open Up New Perspectives".

At our participatory Stage K4, we combine impulses with networking. Come along at the beginning of the session and take a look at all four projects. After a short project presentation, you will have the opportunity to network intensively with the people behind the projects and find out more about their work.

For the first 30 minutes we will present all projects on stage, then there will be 90 minutes for deep dives.
